Elfrida O. Adebo

Elfrida O. Adebo ( Olaniyan; 3 March 1928 – ) was a Nigerian nurse and academic. In 1984, she became the first professor of nursing in Nigeria.

In 1973, she was a member of the Experts Advisory Panel on Nursing for the World Health Organization. She was also a consultant to Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Health. Recognition

In 1984, Adebo was appointed Professor of Nursing at the University of Ibadan, becoming the first professor of nursing in Nigeria. She was one of eighteen nursing professors produced by Nigerian universities as of the early 2000s.
