Biography.guide is a read-only reference site. You do not need an account to use it, and we never ask visitors for personal information.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like every website, our web server records standard technical details of each request (IP address, browser type, page requested, time). We use them only to keep the site secure and running, and keep them no longer than needed for that.
- Site search. Words typed into the search box are used to show results. They are not linked to you.
- Email. If you write to us — for example with a correction — we use your address only to reply.
Cookies
Our own pages set no cookies for visitors, and only the site's administrators receive a login cookie when they sign in. Our advertising partner does set cookies — see Advertising below.
Advertising
We show ads provided by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
