Biography.guide is a free library of life stories — notable people, past and present — written to be read, not skimmed past. A student with an essay due tonight, a reader who just watched a documentary, a teacher preparing a lesson: every page is built so you find what you need in seconds, and the whole story when you want it.

- The full life story, with a table of contents for long lives — not a teaser that sends you somewhere else.

Where our facts come from
Every page is assembled from open, citable reference sources: Wikidata for the structured facts, and the text of Wikipedia, shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence — see our licensing page for the full credit. Each page links back to its sources in Sources & further reading. Our own engine cleans, structures and connects that material: it never invents a date, a relationship or a cause of death, and a fact we don't have is simply not shown.
How the site stays free
Reading is free, with no paywall and no sign-up. The site is paid for by advertising, by the biographies we sell — a life story as an e-book with audio and video — and by readers who choose to buy us a coffee. Paid products are clearly labelled, and they never change what a biography says.
