Soraia Chaves

Soraia Chaves (born Lisbon, June 22, 1982) is a Portuguese actress and model. She became famous with the role of Amélia in the film O Crime do Padre Amaro and the role of Maria in her next film, Call Girl. She also played the role of Raquel in Dancing Days, a 2012-13 soap opera broadcast on the Portuguese television network SIC. She also starred in the film Real Playing Game.

Biography In 1997, at the age of 15, she won the "Elite Model Look Portugal" contest, which launched her career in the fashion world; she worked as a model for 12 years.

She made her acting debut in the lead role of Amélia in the film O Crime do Padre Amaro (2005). Her performance in the film—a major success in Portugal—brought her immediate fame and drew national attention to the former model. In 2006, she appeared in the SIC series Aqui não Há Quem Viva.
