Robert Plowden (born 27 January 1740; died at Wappenbury, 27 June 1823) was an English Jesuit priest, a firm supporter of Bishop John Milner.
Life
He entered the Society of Jesus in 1756, and was ordained in 1763. This passed through several editions in England (American editions: Philadelphia, 1817, and New York, 1852).
Family He was the elder brother of Charles Plowden and Francis Peter Plowden.
