Paolo Fabbri

Paolo Fabbri (17 April 1939 – 2 June 2020) was an Italian semiotician.

Early life and education Fabbri was born in Rimini in 1939. He studied at the University of Florence, graduating in 1962, and at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, where he was taught by Roland Barthes, Lucien Goldmann, and Algirdas Julien Greimas.

Academic career Returning to Italy in 1966,

In 1967, to which he donated fifty philosophical works and manuscripts in April 2019.

Fabbri owned a villa on the Covignano hill outside Rimini.

Fabbri died on 2 June 2020.
