Early life He was born at Kothapada, Mahanga, Cuttack, Odisha.
Career Pani introduced "gitinatya" (musical performance) for the first time in Odia-language jatra. Some of his popular jatra stories include "Saudagara Farce", "Abu Hussain Farce", and "'Natua Mohanty Farce".
