William F. Smith (February 9, 1901 – July 26, 1950) was an American lawyer and politician from New York.
Life Smith was born on February 9, 1901, in New York City, New York, the son of Dr. Joseph J. Smith. 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, and 1933. In his last term in the Assembly, he joined a group of up-state Republicans to defeat a bill that would have continued an additional 1-cent tax on gasoline. He then served as an Assistant District Attorney of Bronx County from 1933 until his death. He was in the Army at one point, but he was discharged due to disability shortly after the outbreak of World War II. He avoided active trial work in the last few years of his life. He was buried in St. Raymond's Cemetery.
