Somerset Richard Waters (December 1829 – May 30, 1919) was an American politician and physician from Maryland.
Early life Somerset Richard Waters was born on December 14 or 24, 1829, in Clarksburg, Maryland, to Jerusha Ann (née Shaw) and Richard Rawlings Waters. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1858. He was chief clerk in the office of the state tax commissioner for 28 years. They had a daughter, Estelle.
Waters died at his Woodside Cottage home in Waterville, Carroll County, on May 30, 1919. He was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy.
