He practiced in Memphis, Tennessee on his own and in partnership as part of Morgan & Baldwin from 1859 and with E.C. Jones (Edward Culliatt Jones) as part of Jones & Baldwin. Nicholas J. Clayton worked at Baldwin & Jones.
