Born 1948. Jere Surber is a philosopher and university teacher.
Jere Paul O'Neil Surber (born 1948) is an emeritus professor of philosophy at the University of Denver. He was the president of Hegel Society of America from 2016 to 2022.
Education Surber earned a BA in Biology, Philosophy, and Psychology from Texas Christian University in 1969, followed by an MA in Philosophy from the same institution in 1970. He completed a PhD in Philosophy in 1974 through a joint program between Pennsylvania State University and the University of Bonn.
