Jeffrey Colter (born April 23, 1961) is an American former professional football defensive back who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football at Kansas.
Early life and college Jeffrey Colter was born on April 23, 1961, in Tucson, Arizona, and attended Amphitheater High School in Tucson. He played college football for the Kansas Jayhawks from 1980 to 1983, and was a three-year letterman from 1981 to 1983.
Professional career After going undrafted in the 1984 NFL draft, Colter signed with the Minnesota Vikings on June 21, 1984. He played in all 16 games for the Vikings during the 1984 season.
