Howard Margolis (born 1932 – April 29, 2009) was an American interdisciplinary social scientist, with a background in political science and journalism.
Early life and education
Margolis earned a BA in Government from Harvard University in 1953. After a career in journalism and a stint in government, he returned to academic studies at MIT, earning a PhD in Political Science in 1979.
Career From 1990 to 2009, Margolis was on the faculty of the University of Chicago and taught as well at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy Studies.
