About Giorgio Conte

Born 1941. Giorgio Conte is an Italian composer, singer-songwriter, writer, singer and musician.

Life and career Giorgio Conte was born in Asti, in the Piedmont region. His older brother is the singer, songwriter and pianist Paolo Conte. Giorgio Conte started his music career playing drums in a jazz combo with his brother. In the 1960s, he mostly concentrated on songwriting.

Conte has written numerous domestic hits for other artists, including Patty Pravo's "Tripoli 69", Equipe 84's "Una giornata al mare", Rosanna Fratello's "Non sono Maddalena", Ornella Vanoni's "Che barba amore mio", and Fausto Leali's "Deborah". In 2022, he was awarded the Premio Tenco for his career.
