Archibald Brown

Archibald Manning Brown ( – November 29, 1956) was an American architect. His work was part of the architecture event in the art competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Biography Brown was born , in New York City. He attended Groton School, graduating from Harvard College in 1903 with a Bachelor of Arts. He then graduated from École des Beaux-Arts in 1910. During World War I, he served in the United States Navy as an ensign. He was an amateur golfer, playing at thr National Golf Links of America and the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. He died on November 29, 1956, aged 75, in his home in Manhattan, of illness.
