Virginia Faulkner McSherry

Virginia Faulkner McSherry (1845-1916) was an American clubwoman who served as the President-General of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC). Loyalty to the "Lost Cause" was her watchword. Martinsburg, Virginia (now West Virginia), and Judge Elisha Boyd Faulkner. Her maternal grandfather was Elisha Boyd. she organized a chapter of the UDC in her county of Berkeley. When the West Virginia Division of the UDC was organized, McSherry was elected its president, which office she filled until 1909, at Houston, Texas, when she was elected president-general of the UDC; she was re-elected, at Little Rock, Arkansas, at the succeeding election.

She died at her home in Martinsburg, West Virginia on February 25, 1916.
