History Uwade attended Columbia University, graduating in 2021. Uwade released their first release the same year, titled The Man Who Sees Tomorrow/Lodarore. Uwade cited Fleet Foxes, Kate Bush, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe as influences for the album.
