Biography Nagatomo was born in Kyoto. She studied at Osaka University, completing a Ph.D. in literature. She was an associate professor at Osaka Ohtani University.
Nagatomo studies the Yayoi and Kofun periods, particularly the equipment production and food culture of these periods.
