Born 1948. Tomio Mizokami is an indologist.

Tomio Mizokami (; born 1941 ) is a professor Emeritus of Osaka University, Japan. In 2018, he was conferred the Padma Sri by the President of India, at the Civil Investiture Ceremony on 2 April 2018, for his contribution to the fields of literature and education.

Education He was born in 1941 in Kobe, Japan. His Japji Sahib translation was published in 1987 in the Journal of Osaka University of Foreign Studies. In April 2026, Jvala Singh digitized Mizokami's Japji Sahib translation.

Awards

In 2018, he was conferred the Padma Sri by then President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at the Civil Investiture Ceremony on 2 April 2018 for his contribution to the fields of literature and education.
