Thomas Nkoro

Thomas Nkoro is a Nigerian politician who represented Obingwa West Constituency of Abia State in the 6th Abia State House of Assembly.

Political career

Thomas A.C. Nkoro was elected to represent Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 general election. He was re-elected in 2019 and served in the 6th and 7th Abia State Houses of Assembly.

During his tenure, Nkoro served as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions.

In 2023, he served as Director-General of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu's Abia South Senatorial Campaign Council during the general election campaign.

Community impact

Thomas A.C. Nkoro undertook constituency interventions during his tenure in the Abia State House of Assembly. In April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he distributed food items and other relief materials to vulnerable residents of Obingwa West State Constituency and encouraged beneficiaries to observe public health measures introduced to contain the spread of the disease.

Nkoro also supported community-based security initiatives in his constituency. In 2017, he stated that the donation of a motorcycle to youths in his community was intended to support local security patrols.
