Thomas Lockley

Thomas Lockley (born 1978) is a British academic who is an associate professor of the College of Law of Nihon University, and a visiting researcher for the SOAS University of London. He first came to Japan in 2000 as a participant in the JET Programme, spending two years in Tottori as an assistant language teacher at an elementary school. He later took on a full-time lecturing position at the Nihon University College of Law, and was promoted to associate professor in 2019 In the same year, he also became a visiting researcher for SOAS.
