His dissertation was Kirnbergers Leben und Werk und seine Bedeutung im Berliner Musikkreis um 1750, about the life and influence of Johann Kirnberger. His works and personal documents are held by the Academy of Arts, Berlin. 1947/48 Halle 1950 Grundlagen einer musikalischen Umweltkunde.
