Raimo Pullat

Raimo Pullat (born 3 April 1935) is an Estonian historian and professor emeritus at Tallinn University. His work includes studies in Estonian urban history and historical demography, including research on Tallinn in the 18th century.

Early life and education Pullat was born in Tallinn and graduated as a historian from the University of Tartu in 1958. In 1998 he received a PhD with distinction, laudatur, from the University of Oulu.

Academic career According to Tallinn University, Pullat held academic posts at Tallinn Pedagogical University and Tallinn University and later became a professor emeritus.

In 2024, he received the Tullio Ilomets heritage award from the Estonian Heritage Society.
