Péter Bernek

Péter Bernek (born 13 April 1992) is a Hungarian swimmer. He competed for Hungary at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Bernek is represented by Career Sport Management.

Career Bernek won the men's 200 m backstroke at the 2010 Youth Olympics. The following year, he won bronze at the European Short Course Championships. In 2012, he won three medals at the European Championships, silver in men's 200 m backstroke, and bronze in the men's 4 x 200 m freestyle relay and the 4 x 100 m medley relay. He won gold in the same event at the 2015 European Short Course Championships, and then bronze at the 2016 Short Course World Championship.

National Records At the 2012 European Short Course Championship, he also set a national record in the 200 m backstroke.
