Ottah Francis Agbo was a politician.

Ottah Francis Agbo (born 6 June 1974), also known as Francis Ottah Agbo, is a Nigerian politician and journalist. He represented the Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency of Benue State in the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. During his tenure he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs and as Spokesman of the Minority Caucus.

Early life and education Agbo was born on 6 June 1974 in Agadagba community, Ukwonyo Ward, Utonkon District of Ado Local Government Area, Benue State, into the Agbo-Onumah royal family. He attended Wesley Central Primary School, Ukwonyo, obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate in 1984. He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Ulayi, where he graduated in 1991 as the best student in Ado Local Government Area.

He later attended the College of Advanced and Professional Studies (CAPS), Makurdi, graduating as the overall best student in 1998. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri in 2002 and completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Sokoto State between 2003 and 2004. He earned a Master of Science degree in Mass Communication from Benue State University in 2006 and later pursued a PhD in Media Arts at the University of Abuja.

Career Journalism Agbo began his career in journalism, working as a correspondent for *Insider* and *The News* magazines. During his NYSC in Sokoto he served as Public Relations Officer and editor of the NYSC bulletin *SOKOPA*. He later worked as Media Adviser to the former Minister of Information, Dora Akunyili, and as Special Adviser on Media Relations to Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson.

Politics Agbo was elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu. He served until 2023 and was noted for his work on narcotics control and as Minority Caucus Spokesman.

In 2026 he emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Benue South Senatorial District after winning the party primary. He has also been involved in anti-drug campaigns in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and runs philanthropic initiatives focused on education and youth development in Benue South.
