Martins Chike Amaewhule is a Nigerian politician who serves as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly of the Rivers State House of Assembly. He previously served as Majority Leader of the House.
He represents the Obio-Akpor I constituency in the Assembly. A loyal member of the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party He was first elected in 2011 and re-elected in the March 2016 election rerun.
Political career Amaewhule was first elected to represent Obio-Akpor I Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly in 2011 and was subsequently re-elected. He served as Majority Leader of the 9th Assembly before being elected Speaker of the 10th Assembly in June 2023. During the political crisis in Rivers State, he led a faction of the House of Assembly. In 2025, the Supreme Court affirmed the legitimacy of the Amaewhule-led leadership of the House.
