Katie Brennan

Katie Brennan (born June 24, 1987) is an American politician who has represented the 32nd Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly since taking office in January 2026. A member of the Democratic Socialists of America and the Democratic Party, she previously served as chief of staff of the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. Brennan is also a member of the Working Families Party.

In 2026, she co-sponsored a bill for the Fight Unlawful Conduct and Keep Individuals and Communities Empowered Act.

Leaked internal communications of the North Jersey chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) revealed her participation in meetings of the North Jersey DSA's Socialists In Office Committee in 2026. Three days after the leak, Brennan confirmed that she is a DSA member and a socialist in a Politico article.
