Jan Per Gösta Mårtenson (14 February 1933 – 12 January 2026) was a Swedish diplomat who was also known as the author of some 50 Swedish crime novels.
Early life Mårtenson was born on 14 February 1933 in Uppsala, Sweden, the son of Colonel and his wife Marga (née Brandelius). He was the brother of Colonel . Mårtenson became a reserve officer in 1955 and received a Candidate of Law degree from Uppsala University in 1960. Mårtenson later became an honorary member of the Södermanlands-Nerikes nation at the university in 1978.
