About James Inglis

James Inglis was a psychologist.

James Inglis was a British/Canadian psychologist.

Career Inglis trained in clinical psychology in Scotland, where he met and married the architect Lily Inglis. They moved to Canada in 1959, where James Inglis joined the faculty at Queen's University at Kingston. He co-founded the clinical programme in the department of psychology.

He received his DSc in psychology from the University of London in 1971.

He was active in the Canadian Psychological Association, of which he became president in 1979.

Heritage Queen's University established the James Inglis Prize, awarded annually to a graduating doctoral student with highest standing in the clinical programme.
