Henry C. Allen was an American politician.
Henry Clay Allen (November 4, 1844 β June 5, 1925) was an American politician and farmer from Virginia. He served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing Pittsylvania County, from 1897 to 1898.
Early life Henry Clay Allen was born on November 4, 1844, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to Lavicia Forrest (nΓ©e Vaden) and James Green Allen. Allen's father died when he was nine years old. He then worked on a farm when not in school.
Career Allen enlisted in March 1862 as a private in the 38th Virginia Infantry Regiment, Pickett's division, of the Confederate States Army in the Civil War. He served three years and one month, until the close of the war. Allen lived at Dry Fork in Pittsylvania County. He died on June 5, 1925, at his home.
