Haywood Jefferson Pearce (1871–1943) was an American psychologist. He was the founder of Brenau College, and served as its president from 1900 to 1943.
Early life Haywood Jefferson Pearce was born in 1871. He received a PhD from a university in Germany in 1907. He served as the president of the Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology in 1914.
Pearce acquired the Dare Stones in 1937 and believed they were real. the daughter of Confederate veteran Reverend George W. Townsend of Mobile, Alabama, in 1904 in New York City. They had two daughters, Lucile and Emily.
Death Pearce died in 1943.
