Born 1948. Gita Sen is an Indian writer, economist, university teacher and feminist.
Gita Sen is an Indian feminist scholar. She is a Distinguished Professor & Director at the Ramalingaswami Centre on Equity & Social Determinants of Health, at the Public Health Foundation of India. She is also an adjunct professor at Harvard University, a professor emeritus at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and the General Coordinator of DAWN (Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era). and a professor emeritus at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. In 2020 she was honored with the Dan David Prize.
