Sir Frederick Palmer (31 January 1862 – 7 April 1934) was a British civil engineer.
Biography
Palmer was born in Carmarthenshire, Wales in 1862. He was educated in Neath, and worked as an assistant engineer on the Great Western Railway. He then joined the East Indian Railway Company as an engineer, where he remained for almost eighteen years.
Palmer was a founding partner of the firm Rendel, Palmer and Tritton. He served as president of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) between November 1926 and November 1927. Palmer was appointed a Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire in 1907, and a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George in 1930.
