Lived 1823 – 1895 (aged 71). Faustina Hasse Hodges was an American composer and music educator.

Faustina Hasse Hodges (7 August 1822 – 4 February 1895) was an English-American organist and composer.

Life and work She was born in Malmesbury, England, in 1822, as one of four children born to the organist and composer Edward Hodges. All of the children became organists.

Edward Hodges emigrated to New York in 1838 and Faustina joined him there in 1841 at the age of 19.
