Edward Parmelee Morris (September 17, 1853 – November 16, 1938) was an American classicist and academic.

Early life He was born on September 17, 1853, in Auburn, New York. He graduated from Yale College in 1874, then moved to Cincinnati where his father was living.

Career From 1876 to 1877, he taught Latin and history at Purdue College. From 1879 to 1884, Morris taught Greek at Drury College in Springfield, Missouri.

Honors Morris received an L.H.D. from Williams in 1904 and a Litt.D. from Harvard University in 1909,
