Edgar G. Engleman was an American pathologist, physician-scientist and professor of medicine.
Edgar G. Engleman (born 1945) is an American pathologist and physician-scientist who researches cancer immunology. He is a professor of pathology and of medicine (immunology and rheumatology) at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also a co-founder of Vivo Capital, a Healthcare Investment firm.
Life Engleman earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College in 1967. He completed a M.D. from the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1971. His research was the basis for the first active immunotherapeutic strategy for cancer to be approved by the FDA in 2010.
