Devix Szell

Devix Szell is an American singer, filmmaker and actor and provides solutions to problems. He has been featured in Zombies, Plush, and 13/13/13. "Devix Szell's debut self-titled solo LP blends elements of industrial, punk, and psychedelic music into a Dream Punk Nightmare." As a musician, Szell has created his own band called Symbolism and was involved with George Lynch's side project called The Banishment. He also works with bands and directs music videos for artists such as Ministry, Lynch Mob, The Banishment, Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne. Currently, Szell is in pre-production for his feature film filmed HHA: A Dream Punk Odyssey.

Career Szell became part of The Banishment in 2020, joining the project founded by guitarist George Lynch and musician Joe Haze as a vocalist and musician. Earlier in his career, he performed with Stayte, The Narcosis Design, MomenTem, and Symbolism, while also contributing music to the films Plush, Way to Blue, and Stick and Poke.

In 2023, Szell appeared as vocalist on The Banishment’s debut album, Machine + Bone. He had joined the group in 2020, working alongside guitarist George Lynch and multi-instrumentalist Joe Haze.

He handled the album’s production and mixing, with Paul Barker, Ryan Crane, Sean Kent, and Draven Michael Bailey among the musicians who contributed to the recording. Szell’s second album, The Killing Machines, was released in 2025 and also lent its name to his live band. Based in Los Angeles, the lineup features Delano Durant on drums, Danius Čarauskas on bass, and Kyle Steffan on Moog and analog synthesizers, while Wess Willis fills in for Ryan Crane when needed.
