Musician As a musician, he released doo-wop recordings on MGM Records and Recorte Records between 1952 and 1959 including a hit with "Carolina in the Morning" in 1952. where he became the co-producer of “Blue Moon” by The Marcels, Winchell was directly responsible for Murray the K debuting a pre-release copy of the song on his show on WINS.
Personal He died in Nashville in 2011.
