Daniel Rose Tilden (November 5, 1804 – March 4, 1890) was an American lawyer and politician who served two terms as a U.S. representative from Ohio from 1843 to 1847.
Biography Born in Lebanon, Connecticut, Tilden attended the public schools. Resided several years in Virginia and South Carolina. He moved to Garrettsville, Ohio, about 1828, and thence to Warren, Ohio. He studied law with Rufus P. Spalding.
