Education and career Eisele was born on June 13, 1902, in The Bronx, New York City. in Manhattan, New York City.
On her retirement from Hunter College in 1972, Eisele joined the Hunter Hall of Fame. Her other honors include a Doctor of Humanities degree awarded by Texas Tech University in 1980 and a Doctor of Science degree awarded in 1982 by Lehigh University.
