Barry Shipman

Barry Shipman (February 24, 1912 – August 12, 1994) was a Canadian-American screenwriter.

A native of South Pasadena He was educated at a military school in Santa Monica.

Shipman was employed by Republic and Columbia studios for 45 years, writing scripts for films and serials.

He was married to the actress Gwynne Shipman, with whom he had a daughter Nina Shipman who also became an actress.

Shipman died in San Bernardino of prostate cancer at the age of 82.
