Personal life Devvrat was born in Samalkha, then in East Punjab, now in Haryana.
Governorships (2015 -Incumbent)
Governor of Himachal Pradesh (2015 - 2019) In August 2015, Devvrat was appointed the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He continued till 22 July 2019, when he was replaced by Kalraj Mishra.
Governor of Maharashtra (2025 - 2026) In September 2025, Acharya took oath as the Governor of Maharashtra after being assigned the additional charge of the state. He served as the Governor of Maharashtra till 10 March 2026 when Jishnu Dev Varma was appointed.
