Born 1954. Yutaka Tsujinaka is a Japanese political scientist, jurist and toyo Gakuen University.
Yutaka Tsujinaka (born 1954) is a Japanese political scientist and professor emeritus at the University of Tsukuba. He has previously served as professor and vice president at the University of Tsukuba, vice president at Tokai University, president at Toyo Gakuen University, and visiting professor at the University of Tsukuba. His areas of expertise include interest groups (interest organizations and pressure groups), public policy, civil society, and social capital research. He is a leading researcher of interest groups and civil society in Japan.
He studied under Wataru Sakano, Michio Muramatsu, Katsumi Yamakawa, and Tadao Adachi. He served as a board member of the International Association of Universities (IAU) (2012-2016), president of the Japanese Political Science Association (JPSA) (2014-2016), director of the Institute for Comparative Research in Human and Social Sciences (ICR) at the University of Tsukuba (2014-2018), professor of the department of political science and economics at Tokai University (2018-2022), and vice president of Tokai University (in charge of departments of humanities) (2019-2022). Currently he is the president of Toyo Gakuen University (2022-present).
