X-Ray Da Mindbenda

Raymond Davis, also known by his stage names X-Ray Da Mindbenda, King Cesar (formerly King Ceasar), and GM Web D (Getting Money While Educating Brothers' Domes) was a Puerto Rican and American record producer, disc jockey, rapper, and songwriter. He rose to underground hip hop popularity in the 2000s and early 2010s, producing for hip hop artists such as MF Doom, Public Enemy, Roc Marciano, Conway the Machine, MF Grimm, Panjabi MC; and the groups he was a member of; the Legion of D.U.M.E, Darc Mind, and the Monsta Island Czars.

Davis was born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In the mid-1970s, Davis moved to Long Beach, New York. He began his career in 1982, DJing parties at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, performing as GM Web D. Davis competed in and hosted DJ battles as a member of the East Side 5 and Players Club DJ crews.

On January 6, 2025, Dope Folks Records announced on Instagram and Facebook that Davis had died. It was later revealed that Davis had passed away earlier that day. As of 2026, the cause of death has not been made public. After his death, underground hip hop label Long Island Rap Records described Davis's production as "raw, massive, funky" and "cinematic". Heavy Crates Records owner 2 Kool Tony called Davis "one of the best in the game, a pioneer and a true friend." DJ WizDumb had this to say about Davis: "One of the greatest producers and visionaries in this culture...We probably wouldn't have MF Doom and most of his affiliates if it wasn't for [Davis] being the driving force behind a lot of [that]." Record producer and rapper MeccaGodZilla said on an Instagram story: "He is not only one of my [favorite] of all time but he's my first real mentor."
