Thomas R. Watjen (born c. 1955) is an American businessman. He is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Unum.
Early life Watjen was born circa 1955. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1976, and he earned a master in business administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 1981. He was a managing director of Morgan Stanley from 1987 to 1994. He was also the chairman from 2015 to 2017. He has also served on the board of Prudential plc since July 2017.
