Tali Kaufman was a computer scientist and university teacher.
Tali Kaufman is an Israeli theoretical computer scientist whose research topics have included property testing, expander graphs, coding theory, and randomized algorithms with sublinear time complexity. She is a professor of computer science at Bar-Ilan University, and a fellow of the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies.
Education and career Kaufman completed a PhD at Tel Aviv University in 2005, with the dissertation Property Testing of Graphs and Codes, jointly supervised by Noga Alon, Michael Krivelevich, and Dana Ron.
She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Institute for Advanced Study, and the Weizmann Institute of Science, before taking her present position at Bar-Ilan University.
In 2022, she was an invited speaker at the (online) International Congress of Mathematicians.
