Sundaraprakrama
Seventh Siamese king
About Sundaraprakrama
Śrī Sundaraprakrama (, ) is recorded in the Sanskrit–Old Khmer Śrī Canāśa Inscription (K.949), as ruler of Canasapura. cautions that the evidential base for Cānāśa is unusually narrow. The name is attested in this inscription and in the Bo Ika inscription alone, and in no literary source, and he describes the polity as a mystery that speculation cannot resolve. He adds that old Khorat lay on the routes later taken by Ayutthayan armies marching to the plateau, so the stone found at Ayutthaya may have been carried south at some later date. While earlier scholars located Canasapura at , recent studies suggest its identification with Si Thep, known in Chinese sources as Qiān Zhī Fú in the sixth century, Gē Luó Shě Fēn in the late eighth to early ninth centuries, and Jiā Luó Shě Fú in reference to Canasapura itself.
Sundaraprakrama succeeded his father Bhagadatta. He was succeeded dynastically by his son, Śrī Sundararavarman, who ruled the kingdom until 937.
