Sara Bender

Sara Bender is an Israeli historian. She was the editor of the journal Dapim: Studies on the Holocaust.

Education In 1994, she received her doctoral degree from the Institute of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her dissertation focused on the Jews of Białystok during World War II.

Career Since 1998, she has taught in the Department of Jewish History at the University of Haifa, as an associate professor and later promoted to professor.
