About Ray Cornbill

Ray Cornbill is an English-born American former rugby union coach, best known for coaching the United States national rugby union team and the American Cougars.

Early life Cornbill was born in 1937 in Birmingham, England. He began playing rugby career at age 11, at the famous “Public School,” King Edwards School. At 13, Cornbill's family moved to Toronto, Canada.

Cornbill moved to New York in 1965 and soon became a player/coach for the Manhattan Rugby Football Club. and into the Maccabi USA Rugby Hall of Fame in 2018.
