Pir Haroon al Rasheed

Pir Haroon al Rasheed (;1935-2022) was a Pakistani Sufi scholar and spiritual leader associated with the Mohra Sharif shrine in Murree District, Punjab, Pakistan. He served as the Custodian (Sajjada Nashin) of the shrine and led the Nisbat-e-Rasooli tradition established by Pir Nazeer Ahmed from 1960 to 2022 till his death.

Spiritual leadership In 1960, after the death of Pir Nazeer Ahmed, Pir Haroon al Rasheed became the Custodian (Sajjada Nashin) of Mohra Sharif. During his tenure, he supervised religious gatherings, annual commemorations (urs), and educational activities associated with the shrine. He continued the teachings of the Nisbat-e-Rasooli tradition, emphasizing Spiritual reform, ethical conduct, and devotion to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) within the framework of the Naqshbandi Order and tradition.

Publications He authored Taleem Nisbat-e-Rasooli, Gohar-e-Nayab and translation and Tafsir of Holy Quran i.e. Haqaiq-ul-Quran

Death Pir Haroon al Rasheed died on 28 February 2022. His Funeral was attended by religious scholars, followers, and public figures. Messages of condolence were issued by several political leaders and government officials, including the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Following his death, the Governor of Punjab, Pakistan visited Mohra Sharif Murree to offer condolences to his Successor, and custodian Pir Gohar Nazir.
